We love games at Seymour Library.  There’s an adult Scrabble group, Wii gamers, and our Open Chess Nights, which have grown over the years to cover backgammon, the ancient Chinese game of  “Go”, and pretty much anything anyone wants to play!  Have you ever tried Pictureka?  People of all ages attend…children, college students, teens and adults.  Open Chess Nights are the last Wednesday evening of each month, from 7-9 pm.  Join us for a game or two.  Everyone’s welcome!

Saturday, March 21, 16 eager Karters and Brawlers were glued to their Wii-motes for almost 5 hours!  Well…they did stop to eat the pizza when it came.  David won the Super Smash Brothers Brawl play-off for the second time.  Anyone out there think that they can beat David?  The next Wii tournament session will be on Saturday, April 18, from 1-6 pm.  Register to play at our Information Desk or on our online program calendar.

The BRATS (Brilliant Readers Active in Teen Service) raised $400 at their sleepover/readathon on February 28 by spending two long hours reading. But then the fun began! Pizza, flashlight tag, a movie, and a game of “Library Survivor” filled in the rest of the night. Money raised goes to the 4th Annual Greater Rochester Teen Book Festival. This awesome event created specially for teen readers will happen on April 4 at Nazareth College. Check it out at www.teenbookfestival.org
